Any pink dresses?

I'm looking for a dress for a special occasion. The location is posh, snooty and very reserved so I must look my best.

I have a price range up to £70 for the dress, but would like it a little cheaper because I want to get accessories to go with it!

There was a gorgeous dress in Warehouse which was £45 and pink! It was perfect, but when I went in a few days later to look at it again, it was gone

I need something relatively fitted because I have good curves and want to show them off! I don't want no tent dress lol!

So yeah....help please!!!

Why don't you have something made??

All you would have to do is pick out the fabric - lots to choose from!! Pick out the patten for the dress and take it along to a haberdashery or dress making shop.

I know there are two in Hillsborough and I cannot honestly see it costing more than £70.

Your dress is unique and perfectly fitted for you!

There are a few places on The DREADED E Road that hire them. You could try there maybe ? I did... got a lovely pink silky fitted thing for a snip of a price.

Why don't you have something made??

I'm a bit inexperienced in that field. I wouldn't know what to ask for, or the technical terms to describe how I want it to fit me/hang etc.. Also I'd feel terrible if a dress was made and I didn't like it! I'd feel like I'd wasted their time! Plus I don't know Hillsborough area! :P Thanks though Moon :D

I think I know where you mean. I hope this doesn't sound snobbish but I wanted something made out of a more finer material. It's a dead posh place I'm going to so I want to look the part! But thanks Sammie, I'll probably have a nosy in there for casual tops, I've heard they have a few nice logo ones in at the moment :)

Really? That'd be a cool idea! Have you any idea how much they cost on average? Also do they cost more to hire if they're labelled? ~ Thanks!

Hey i know the dress in warehouse youre thinking of. Have you tried all the other warehouses like the ones in debenhams and the ones at meadowhall because they had loads. I bought it a few weeks back but it had a rip at the bottom of the zip and so did all the others in my size but they had loads both at the debenhams and the actual shop at meadowhall and it did look nice on. They also had it in black and red but we all know pink is the best colour there is.

There is the perfect pink dress in monsoon its strapless and had a floaty skirt coming down to the knees but its very expensive (£140 i think)

There are some nice pink ones in debenhams (Jasper Conran bit and the John Rocha bit) but again theyre over £100. I was struggling to find one a few weeks ago so had to get black instead unfortunately because i also had a similar budget and couldnt find anything cheap enough.

YAY!!!!!!
I've got a dress!!!!!

There was the pink dresses in Warehouse in my size, but I tried a black and red one at River Island and I liked it a little bit more!

Plus my boyfriend's eyes popped out of his head & his jaw hit the floor when he saw me in it! So yeah, I guess that dress is a winner! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

caprice you know that black and red dress you got is it sixties style black with red piping and a sort of outline of some red circles near the middle?? I went in river island today and saw it. If it is this one - please whatever you do - dont bend down! Its bloody short i thought it was a top at first

Yes! That's the one!!! I'm wearing it with some tie up sandals (piccy on my site ~ the restaurant one) Believe me, I can hardly walk in those sandals let alone attempt to bend down with them on!!!

The dress is very leggy, but its not unbelievably short on me. It's short, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't look tarty!

Piccies to follow soon! :D
