Well it is.
I've just made a big mug full and walked through our office with it to cries of "whats that foul smell ?" and "what the bloody hell is that smell ?".
There must be more fans out there.

Isn't Bovril vegetarian these days?
http://www.foodanddrinkeurope.com/news/news-ng.asp?id=56263-new-vegetarian-formulation
"Unilever Bestfoods UK currently supplies about 15,000 tonnes of Bovril annually" I wonder what that looks like? A big vat, where you can go for a swim......
Not that I'd buy it. I prefer Marmite.
It is made from yeast now, but I always thought it was made from cows, well it was when I was a lad.

Nick, I'm pretty sure it used to be beef stock, - my gran used it to make gravy, and it had a picture of a bull/cow's head on the lable.
Love Marmite, which definitely is yeast extract,- mixed into butter on fresh crusty bread. As kids we used to have bread, pork dripping and Marmite. Butter was rationed then and Margerine was like axle-grease.
I never realised there were so many vitamins in Bovril too.
Bovril and Marmite are an aquired taste I think
mmmm, bovril on toast! Always add a little bit if im making spag bol

Bovril and Marmite are fantastic! There's nothing more comforting when you're feeling slightly fragile than hot toast, dripping with butter and coated in Bovril and a nice mug o' tea. In fact I'm going to buy a fat jar of Bovril and gorge myself over the weekend!
