Is anybody aware of something that has come in recently extending the number of days paid holiday that a person can take from their job please? A link to appropriate information would be a great help too

A full time employee is entitled to 24 days holiday per annum, which includes bank holidays, as a statutory minimum. A part time worker would be pro rata this. This came into affect in October 2007 and changes again I think in 2009.

OOOh thats good i get 22 days and 8 bank holiday days :)

The next change is planned for April 2009 when the minimum holiday entitlement will be 28 days a year, including Bank Holidays.

This is based on someone working 5 days a week.
