Jut rang Triage as my tummy is still feeling all weird and they want me to go up :(

She says they're busy and not to rush up.

I've never been. What should I expect?

Hiya,

I had to go whilst I was pregnant. You go into a small room and sit and wait until someone can see you. While you are waiting someone comes and takes your blood pressure and then asks you to do a urine sample.

When someone is ready to see you they will ask you questions and probably listen to your babies heart, and feel your stomach. They hooked me up to a machine which monitored my babies heart and printed a graph of this out. I had to stay on this for quite a while. But it will all depend on what the problem is, if there is one.

Hope everything is ok.

expect to wait and long time whilst putting up with the revolting stench of second-hand cigarette smoke.

aside from that Cara is probably right - samples and a trace of your baby's heart. If you're not happy be persistent and don't be fobbed off - midwives are pro at fobbing off, as are offhandish doctors that would rather be elsewhere. (normally I'm very positive about the jessop, but I had quite a bad experience of a night there whilst heavily pregnant and not in labour). You'll probably get some excellent attention from some medical students who want to do their jobs well.

Try not to worry, good luck, and let us know how you go.

Just got back in after being up there for god knows how long.

Baby is fine and not coming just quite yet. They've said the pain is probably assc with my sciatica and SPD

They've sent me on my merry way with some strong pain killers and told me to rest for the next few days!

Thanks ladies. Only rested for one day as can't afford to have any sick time but it's keeping me going knowing I go on maternity leave in a few weeks :)

I can't wait to get back into day time tv and have my time with Jezza Kyle in a morning :D
