Well there are some big games in the countdown to the title for the premiership. How many teams are still in it? Can the Arsenal work miracles, will Man U cap a great run of form to snatch it or will Chelski walk away with the title for the first time in over 50 years?

I think you all know me by now to say that we are going to steal the premiership away from chelski this year.

As much as I hate to disagree with you :suspect: maybe next year mate :P

I think Chelsea will have a good run and bag it up leaving Man U unable to drop a point (and as good as Man U have been lately, I can't see them winning every single match)

:D

Just my 2 cents..

I think that 4th place will go to Everton, just. Liverpool will run them close but I feel that Everton have a point to prove they are good without Shrek and it will bring some glory to the blue side for a change.

1st 2nd and 3rd are as they are i think.

If liverpool win the champions league they would stop Everton getting into next years comp. I cannot see it happening but it would be funny

Is that possible? I didn't think it would matter about the places allocated if Liverpool actually won it. Thought the top 4 would still go through.

Well, Man Utd drew agains 10-man crystal palace today, so it looks a dead cert there title hope are well and truly over.

Liverpool must surely be out of the race for a champions league place too after losing to newcastle.

Ermm.. nope.
It dont work like that mate.

Even if you win it, you dont automatically get picked into the champions league, you have to qualify for it in either 1/2/3/4th place. So even if liverpool won it- which they wont!- and everton came 4th then everton would have to qualify for the CL and Liverpool would not be in it!!

Ahem!

So we drew-- does not mean we are out of it yet my friends!
Chelski still have to play us and arse yet remember!

Chelsea now 8 points clear and with a game in hand.... 2 years without the title for man u and long may it continue.

Has UEFA changed the way you qualify for the champions league? Because when Real Madrid won it a few seasons ago against valencia, they didn't finish high enough in the league to qualify for a place so had to win it to be in it.

Yep, 8 points clear again now.
Still a long way to go yet though!!

Yep, the format did change slightly in the CL.
You have to come either 1st-2nd for I think a straight entry into the competition and then places 3-4 have to pre-qualify I think.

Summat like that.

I've just checked on it, and apparently if Liverpool win, only the top 3 clubs in the Prem will get a place as well as Liverpool.

I know this is unlikely, but the idea does amuse me no end. the idea that a lot of my Blue friends will be really miffed that they finished ahead of us and didn't qualify. I can only dream.
