I juast saw a van career around a bend behind the uni and literally a box hurtled out of the back. Me being honest I moved it to the roadside, but I think people were eyeing it up! I guess it is distributing these boxes (no idea what is in them...looked like some food van) all over sheffield roadsides. Anyone else seen this crazy van tonight?

One of our drivers left the keys in a works van whilst it was in the loading bay being loaded. A drunk coming up from the Matilda pub climbed in and drove it away. The driver who was loading it at the time almost stepped off the edge of the loading dock as he didn't notice it had gone for a second. One of the directors leapt into his car and raced afdter it as it headed for town and the Parkway losing cargo as it went. The police managed to stop it as it reached the motorway but we never got the cargoback.

didnt see any of that, but did see a small lorry that'd lost its load just up the rd from me,
2 billets of steel had rolled off the back ,and rolled into the kerb on the opposite side of the rd,
both either side of a parked car (lucky sod),these things must have weighed a ton each ! (they looked like 2 rolls of carpet)
and he (the driver)had to wait around for ages untill a crane turned up,
im just glad no one was killed,as being on a main rd if a car had hit one of them i doulbt the billet would'v moved an inch !

I recall sometime in the 70's a farm lorry shedding its' load of grain in the village.
Everyone with a pet rabbit appeared with buckets & allsorts like magic!

A couple of weeks ago a lorry deposited severly pallets of bricks onto the road and pavement opposite work, fortunately nobody was walking past at the time. A cop car and a van full of men with brushes turned up and soon sorted it out, shame could have had a nice extension on the cheap!!!
