Our beagle Barney is now 16 weeks old. We would like to have him neutered but don't know if he has to be a certain age before we do this.

Its usually around 6months, but it does depend on the breed/size of the dog, as little uns mature quicker than large dogs. If you see your vet when you next go, they will examine him to make sure everything is where it should be and then arrange to have them confiscated.;)

Thanks Gemima, he's having his rabies jab next week so will ask the vet to have a look. :)

I agree six months is usually the earliest age.
