Don't know why but it seemed better when i was watching it as a 15 year old in mid 80's. mrmist 18-02-2008, 08:50 I wouldn't bring Red Dwarf back I don't think. Some things are of their time, and shouldn't be squeezed too much. Even the last series was a bit painfull. I agree with remaking older stuff though. Land Of The Giants would be cool with today's special effects. Sultana 18-02-2008, 08:56 I would like to see some of the really old stuff like Champion the Wonderhorse & Mr Ed or maybe Daktari. I bet these would seem awful now, but when I was young - I loved them. Dozey 18-02-2008, 09:56 "One Step Beyond",a series based on true events. "Steptoe and Son". "Till Death Us Do Part". They used to repeat it on challenge but its not been on for a while Queer as folk too..so good Beakerzoid 20-02-2008, 00:57 .....Knight Rider, :( A new TV movie aired in the US as a pilot for a new series a couple of nights back. It wasn't bad at all, with a new driver (son of Michael Knight), a new car (Ford mustang), and a cameo by the Hoff. Showed potential for a new series, and didn't try to be anything other than Knight Rider. Till Man mentioned V - they are still pursuing the possibility of a sequel to V, set 20-25 years after the 'Final Battle'. Sci-Fi channel were showing an intrest last year, but it didn't go anywhere. It was the original creator who was working the idea out with the concept being that the earth has been taken over by the visitors now, and the remaining humans are nothing but splinter cell resistance forces trying to overthrow the rulers. However the message for help that was sent out in the original show has been picked up and answered, and another race arrives...but is the enemy of my enemy really my friend? I'd love to see V back. and Quantum Leap (another show which keeps getting hinted at a return to the screen). Rich 20-02-2008, 08:53 Worzel Gummidge - far too good for kids! Given that the bloke who played Worzel in the original has been dead at least 5 years (the late third Doctor Who Jon Pertwee) I don't think Worzel Gummidge is coming back.. Let's face it Jon WAS Worzel, it wouldn't be as good starring anyone else. BasilRathbon 20-02-2008, 09:55 Given that the bloke who played Worzel in the original has been dead at least 5 years (the late third Doctor Who Jon Pertwee) I don't think Worzel Gummidge is coming back.. Let's face it Jon WAS Worzel, it wouldn't be as good starring anyone else. Don't see why Jon Pertwee's death should be a problem; surely it can't be that difficult for a corpse to play a scarecrow? Whenever it came to Roxy's you used to watch in anticipation of which of your acquaintances might be on making complete buffoons of themselves! Some other programmes I'd like back: Wanted http://www.offthetelly.co.uk/lightentertainment/wanted.htm The Mole http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mole The Adventure Game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventure_Game TFI Friday in a format but I've absolutely no idea who would present it. Chris Evans is past it now but there is no one else like him. Old Grey Whistle Test RE:Covered (Dermot O Leary prog) Live from Abbey Road Tiswas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiswas (I know people know it but worth a read) The Big Breakfast with a Jonny and Denise stylee pairing - again no idea of the current crop who would do that... T4 presenters are no match although Nick Grimshaw from Freshly Squeezed would be good. Cold Feet (peeete) Clocking off. In my head, I'd like Friends and Sex and the City back but not really- they'd be too old now, the film will be enough for sex and the city and friends? - Well they should make a film too! I loved it. The theme tune was madness or house. One of the main characters was the guy who was recently in Eastenders as the drunk dad of Libby Fox.....Lee Ross, he was also in press Gang. It was centred around him and his younger sister, both in care... I cant find it anywhere. I'm sure it was called 'our house' mel77 24-02-2008, 12:47 Dodger and Bonzo were Brother + Sister if I recall rightly http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/series/7036 mel77 24-02-2008, 12:50 found it, it was called Dodger bonzo and the rest! I think years later the producer admitted that all the letters from "viewers", with great and fun things to do in the holidays, were actually written by the production team themselves as no real children ever wrote in to suggest building a spaceship from toilet rolls or making flower petal mosaics cressida 04-03-2008, 00:03 Kate and Allie dacrlit 07-03-2008, 13:16 The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, Risin Damp, Father Ted. It used to be on late night ITV at weekends several years ago and was pretty good IMO. sheffguy99 14-03-2008, 09:26 I think Father Ted could have run much longer but unfortunately the main character passed away so they can't bring that one back. All episode are classics in my opinion. They should do more "Spaced" or a spin off if Simon Pegg and friends have a rest from doing films. BasilRathbon 14-03-2008, 09:34 Did you know....... Actually, it was even crazier than that. Rich 11-04-2008, 13:53 I'd love to see a special "6 Doctors" re-union episode of Doctor Who, featuring all the Doctors who are still alive, so it would include Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann (although technically he doesn't count cos he didn't do a series), the other bloke, and of course David Tennant.
