Iv'e noticed that places say that you need a software emulator to play xbox games on a 360. Is this true, and if so, where can i get one?

Its inbuilt into the 360. You need the hard drive for it. If you have an internet connection to your 360 (Xbox Live), it will automatically download the emulator for it when you place the original Xbox game in the drive.

If you don't have an internet connection to your 360, you can goto Xbox.com and download the emulator for the game you are wanting to play, burn it on cd and place it into your 360.
