View Full Version : The postponed February 'unofficial' knitting meet
Lucy-Lastic 17-02-2008, 20:07 We will need to postpone the February meet until 5th March this time. I hope this does not cause too many problems. The other detaiils are the same as usual - 7pm at the Wool Baa in Hunters Baa. Could you say in the poll if you are likey to come?
I will be there - must make more of an effort to get out of the house and be sociable.
peakwool 18-02-2008, 18:53 Got to be there - Be there in the evening ...... so close to the song

cake woman 18-02-2008, 20:59 Thats good for me too. Look forward to it!
Plain Talker 18-02-2008, 22:21 hopefully, I'll be there
(starts thinking "the Jackson 5")

You are far too young. Far to young to be a knitter, but hey, at 20 something, we need all the young blood we can get :suspect:
Leave my blood alone. It's nearly a whole quarter of a century old.
Wool4brains 22-02-2008, 18:43 I'm coming, I think. Maybe my mind will clear once I've dealt with the roofer, the washer repair person and the music exam, until then I have officially got too much to think about at the moment.
I'm knitting
Not the same without you Wheezy. Make sure you get your transport sorted for the next meet!

Yes, but no one will tell me when it is! Blumin conspiracy I tell you  :suspect:
I'd just like to say I've had a lovely time. The company has been brilliant, the best ever. I've completed a pair of socks and drank myself silly! Look forward to the next one!! :D
Plain Talker 05-03-2008, 22:31 Well, it was a great night as usual. had a good natter, did a few rows of my sock...
Thanks to Jill for the endless cups of tea etc.

Endless cups of tea? Things are looking up!..... :o
cake woman 05-03-2008, 22:41 Sorry not to see you there Wheezy but pleased you had a good night anyway. If you had come you would have seen that I am now back on track thanks to words of encouragement from the Forum lassies. Am nearly finished the back of my bolero now....just the sleeves to go and they're only short so I may have it done for the spring/summer season!
Take care.

P.S Lovely to see everyone again tonight. I'm really enjoying getting to know folks.
Missed you, oh Wheezy one! Glad to hear you managed to knit anyhow.
The books have returned, and I managed to knit several rounds of my top, but had to put the sock knitting down as I was unable to count to 3 and concentrate on all the interesting natter at the same time...
Many thanks to the lovely Jill, as always.
Wool4brains 06-03-2008, 07:36 I aspired to counting to seven but I didn't see if I could manage it because I defaulted to socks instead. I just wish I could have remembered what it was that I was supposed to buy while I was there.
I am sure that both Cake Woman and LisaH will be wearing drop dead gorgeous hand knit clothing that is not socks the next time I see them.
I managed to do a few rows of my extremely complicated cable, despite feeling like I wasn't entirely there (a very peculiar feeling)! It's the first time I've dared try it at a meet :)
A successful evening :D

Spooky! :suspect:
Lucy-Lastic 06-03-2008, 13:59 Yes Wheezy you were definitely missed. It was odd not seeing you there in your rightful place at the head of the table:P
Thanks to Jill again for a lovely meet:)

Hey, I don't like being typecast :suspect: :D
I had a nice time too! made some progress on the cardy I've started and decided that I do like it!
My only concern was that I went determined not to spend money, and even returned some unused wool, so I should have been "in profit" - but then I spent it again plus a bit more - how did that happen??!!
