I've tried a few local ads but all want bar experience apart from full time positions.
I am a quick learner and I know most of the drinks behind the bar as my partner works behind a bar and gives me alot of insight.
Does anybody know whos willing to take me on part time at evenings/weekends or just any hints and tips when applying.
Cheers Guys
Sam

You will find a lot of pubs looking for staff will be willing to take on someone with no experience and train them as there really is nothing to the job. It's dead easy.

If I were you, I'd dress smartly and drop in on some bars in town in the afternoons (after the lunchtime rush) and ask. You may be surprised.

Bars often have a high staff turnover so if you just walk into a large number of places and ask about in one day the chances are high that you will find a few that are looking for staff, even at entry level.

Depends where you live, but I know someone who used to work at the Rising Sun in Ecclesall (on Abbey Lane). They were always taking on part-timers, quite flexible hours and you didn't need experience. I 'd give them a call. From my own experience some years ago looking for a part-time bar role, local pubs are worth a try. They don't always need experience. Areas such as Ecclesall, Fulwood, Nether Edge, Broomhill - don't know about other places though.
