Congratulations to them on their win and I hope they can go on further in the competition.

I've been thinking who'd I want in the next round if I was a fan, would I go for a glamour tie or one that gives a good chance of the semis (at Wembley I think).

After consideration, here is the order of preferred games I'd want starting with the least preferable first:

Portsmouth away-No money to be made and probably get knocked out
Chelsea away-More money but almost certainly they'll loose
Cardiff away-Very little money but a fighting chance
West Brom away-Make some money but likely to loose
Middlesborough/Utd away-Make more money and a fighting chance
Portsmouth home-Not much money and a fighting chance
Middlesborough/Utd home-As above
West Brom home-Tough tie not much money
Cardiff home- Real chance of winning, not much money
Bristol rovers away-Not much money, real chance of getting through
Chelsea home- Glamour tie
Man Utd home-Real glamour tie at Oakwell
Bristol Rovers home-Great chance of reaching a semi
Man Utd away-Loads of money to be made and a great afternoon out

What do others reckon.

Cardiff at home to make sure of semi final place and to bring them back to reality as that would be a testing tie but IMO, Barnsley would edge it. It's not always about the money, getting a semi final place would bring a bigger reward.

Why Cardiff and not Bristol Rovers then?

I think anyone but Man U or Chelsea and they have a chance. I'd want Bristol Rovers at home personally.

The best possible draw tomorrow would be Man Utd Vs Chelsea!

Pirates and Dingles don't mix. ;) Seriously though Cardiff would keep them more on their toes than Bristol.

It will be a great day and riding on the euphoria of their victory at Anfield I'd predict a scrappy low scoring victory for a Chelsea reserve team.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope they edge out Chelsea in a thrilling 7 goal thriller but can't see it.

On a brighter note it'll be fun watching the nouveau riche Chelsea fans wandering around Barnsley town centre, trying to find a pub that serves champagne and prawn sandwiches!

.

If Chelsea did put out a "reserve team" which they won't, then what a team that still would be. eg.
Pizario and Chevy instead of Kalou and Drogba with Anelka on the bench. Ballack instead of Lampard, Ben Haim and Alex instead of Terry and Mackallelle with Cudicini replacing Cech. ;)

i don't think grant will dare to put anything less than a full strength side out as the FA cup is realistically there best chance of silverware this year.
