That place needs shutting down, its always full of cretins looking for a fight on a weekend.

As they say Saturday night at The Big Tree is Fight Night.

It has been much better in the last 5 years than it used to be. 20 years ago there was regularly a line of black marias full of coppers along holmhurst road. 30 years ago it was closed and turned into a kind of cafe for a while because of the trouble.

But if they close it theyll all just go somewhere else. Leave it open, at least then people know where all the nobheads are and can avoid it

We had our wedding reception there 38 years ago this year and it was a quiet family pub then, what on earth has happened to make it so bad?

If it is so good why then have they put restrictions on the licence - read the star for full details - it includes no outside drinking after 11pm

You are right it wasnt a cafe it was a pub serving meals I seem to remember it was on the American theme mainly burgers it was probably in the late 1980's although I think it was mainly a business choice than a trouble choice
