Changes are happening rapidly in the city centre and there are now over 5000 residents, yet those residents don't have much of a voice when it comes to: the effects of new developments, crime and community safety, council services etc. So, some of the people involved in regeneration have set up a City Centre Community Forum to discuss these sorts of issues. Council officers and others will be around to respond to concerns.

Next meeting: Wednesday 2nd March, 6.30-8.30 at Quaker Meeting House, 10 St James Street

Future meetings, same time and venue: Thursday 31st March and Tuesday 26th April

Nice initiative Chris.

To give you a head start though - take a good look around Sheffield Forum. You will find thousands of opinions on Sheffield City Centre.

You already have a fabulous resource here - please feel free to use it.

Got a newsletter about this yesterday (lots of notice for the 2 March meeting - ooh, that's today!). There was a photograph of the alts meeting - with just four people sat there! They obviously Nedi your support.

Unfortunately, I can't get away from work in time to be there.

BTW, wouldn't this thread be better placed in the General Sheffield Chat area?
