View Full Version : FA Cup Quarter Finals
WhiteHawk 16-02-2008, 17:14 After tomorrows games there could quite unbelievably only be 2 Premiership teams in the last 8 of the FA Cup.
Liverpool have lost today :D:D:D and Man U or Arsenal will also be going out in this round.
Has there ever been only 2 teams from the top flight in the last 8 of the FA Cup?
If anyone from outside the Premiership is ever going to win the competition then this is the year.
Theres Bristol Rovers, Barnsley, Cardiff, West Brom then possibly Sheff Utd & Preston.
Will the trophy be going to a Championship or League One side this year?!
Robbie Loving 16-02-2008, 17:37 I was going to start the same thread.
There will be a MAXIMUM of 4 prem teams in the last 8.
2 of the big 4 will be out.
If we can beat 'Boro tomorrow, I'll be loving the FA Cup coming back to Bramall Lane.
WhiteHawk 16-02-2008, 17:40 I don't fancy anyone beating Man U tho. They're awesome!!

Where it belongs ;)
WhiteHawk 16-02-2008, 18:00 Blades v Barnsley in the final anyone?
mrsteabag 16-02-2008, 18:02 Blades v Barnsley in the final anyone?
I'm loving that :D
Agent Gypo 16-02-2008, 18:56 I fear if we do manage to beat Middlesborough, a team like Man Utd would destroy us. Would be nice to have a Yorkshire final though...
It looks like Benitez might be in trouble. Struggling to finish in the top 4, dumped out of the FA Cup by lower league opposition at Anfield and out of the League Cup. The way they've been playing the Champions League isn't encouraging either...
Man Utd 4 - 0 Rest of World
Man Utd making Arse'n'all look like absolute amateurs.
The foreign rabble are down to 10 men and are diving like Samoan pearl fishermen. Magic to watch. The Man U crowd are taking the pee in shovelsfull.
I'd almost forgotten what a bunch of girlies Arse'n'all are.
not wanted 16-02-2008, 19:32 Man U V Chelsea hopefully in the next round.
Grandad.Malky 16-02-2008, 19:43 Blades v Barnsley in the final anyone?
I would but money on that for the next round if Utd do the business tomorrow.
Man U V Chelsea hopefully in the next round.
Chelsea v Blades in final that would be a day out.:D
briggy1967 17-02-2008, 04:18 Where it belongs ;)
Get real mate
You last won the F.A Cup when???
Man Utd and Chelsea must be laffin their asses off with the lack off quality left in competition, its great that lower league clubs have gone so far (with exception of the porkys) but its a big pay day for them and a day out at wembley in the semis if they get a decent draw
Hope Barnsley draw Piggys at home and kick the crap out of em
fred_notdead 17-02-2008, 08:12 Man U V Chelsea hopefully in the next round.

Impossible Wednesday are already out of the cup.
Utd are still in it, for a few more hours at least. :D

We've won it more times than your lot.

Seriously does it belong at the pig farm???

1925. And no it certainly doesn't belong at Hillsborough. I never said it belonged at Bramall Lane either though ;)

Fingers crossed if Barnsley don't manage to knock Chelsea out they'll get each other in the semi's.
I'd love to see a F.A. Cup final without any of the big four. Though then if that happened these days the finalist wouldn't get as much credit, as people would just say its because the big 4 don't take it seriously.
So....Chelsea v Man Utd final again! Just as well the draw isn't fixed, eh?
you can hardly say its fixed- man united have got premiership oppesition 11 times in a row!!!!!

And each time it's been either BBC or Sky's live game! Far be it for me to suggest broadcasters have any influence in the cup draw.....

well actually they draw the round and Then they choose the games :P
CHAIRBOY 19-02-2008, 18:46 well actually they draw the round and Then they choose the games :P
No problems as all four games are on TV. Three on BBC and the Man. Utd v Portsmouth game on Sky.
scottishdude 20-02-2008, 09:56 I'm predicting a Blades v West Brom semi final with the winners playing either Chelsea or Man Utd.
CHAIRBOY 01-03-2008, 16:14 Lampard sent off at Upton Park so will miss the QF with Barnsley.
Subsequently, and correctly rescinded.
