I'm considering helping a young man just setting up his first home by offering to sort out the cost of transport if we can find sofas etc available for free.

Would someone mind giving me a ball-park figure please for collecting something (able young men available to help carry) from one Sheffield address and taking to another?

Is it an hourly rate? Or an hourly rate plus a mileage rate? Is it more for Saturday or Sunday?

Hi,

I charge £20 for 1 hour and £15 per hour after that. For longer distances (over 10 miles in total) I also charge 25p per mile. There is no extra charge for weekends.

I charge per job. So I don't charge per hour or mile, so the price i quote would be the price you pay. There is no extra charge for weekends but a small charge if you need another person to help to do the fetching and carrying.
