im looking for people who went to Southy Green Secondary school between the dates 1956-1960....im looking for Jackline Bates,Maureen McKenzie or any one who remembers Irene Weaver from Symond Crescent Parson Cross...

They were my bros and sister, and where there in the 50s, I started there in 65.

it was my mum who went to Southy Green school and she asked me if i could try to find someone who went there at the same time as her....i asked her about yr brothers and sister but she she didnt remember them....but thankyou for replying...by the way u mentioned Jim Jackson...does he have a daughter called Tracy and lives near Carwood?its just that i went to school with a girl called Tracy Jackson and we were so good friends and her dads name was Jim he worked for years at radio Hallam as security officer...i think about them a lot....anyway love if u could let me know if its the same it would be nice and many thanks

Youre very welcome. I cant find anything else about southey school but if you go to the search box under where it says Forum Contents on the left of the screen near the top then you might find something.

There are lots of people who will help you on sf, its just a matter of time before they find you like I did.


Anyway, if you get stuck, let me know and Ill try to help, and if I cant, Im sure theres someone who can. :)

ive just called mymum and she remembers a girl called Elaine Swift,my mum says that yr mum maybe knew my mums sister more Pearl....thanks for the reply:)

I went to SG from 1950 to 1962 thro infants to seniors and I remember vaguely the people you mentioned. I organised a re union a couple of years ago and hope to do another one in the not too distant future, would your mum like to be kept informed? My name before I married was Christine Wilde (now Harrison)

I was there from '61 to '65, I have a relative who was there in the '50s ... Michael (Mick) Kelford. He lived on Northlands Rd.

Hello, l went to Southey Green School from the age of 5 in 1950 to to age 15 in 1060.
My name was Kathleen Jebb, l have an older brother James.
l remember Irene Weaver, she was in my class in the seniors.. Does anyone remember Margaret O Brian as was?
