Canolfan Trywern is only about 2 hours drive from Sheffield, later on when the weather gets better I'll be looking to go out there to do some rapids with some pals. You have the option og going in the larger six person rafts or small 1 or 2 person rubber boats.

Just make sure you go at the right time, otherwise there will be no water ;)

Just ring them up and they'll send you a brochure with the dam release days, which are the days when the water is wildest - I had a right spill there last year. I'm not kidding, though - it's a great spot.

I'd recommend it. It is a brilliant experience but can be terrifiying on some waters.
