There was an item in the telegraph last year about crane operators. Apparently if they need a wee they go in a pop bottle - the guy being interviewed boasted he used a lucozade bottle due to the very wide neck :D I presume if they need a poo they have to use a margarine tub or something? heavenlyarts 15-02-2008, 11:40 There was an item in the telegraph last year about crane operators. Joey 15-02-2008, 20:10 When I was a secretary on a building site (we were building the new incinerator at Bernard Road) I got to "drive" the huge crane on site there! Highlight of my year! They were building that massive crane in a thunder storm during the summer flooding! STT-Jag 15-02-2008, 22:03 I thought this site was blocked from the BT Intranet.... It was when I tried it............. :suspect: Nope works here :suspect: maybe u typed it wrong citycentral 15-02-2008, 23:25 I'm surpised Sheffield and Leeds have managed to secure so many cranes, considering how many are being used in the UAE at the moment. (not that I'm a crane anorak mind!!). I personally love the sight of Sheffield being developed against a backdrop of largely industrial buildings - it's a fine mix architecturally. |
