Mary Pryde, aged 56, of Wood Lane Close, Stannington, was walking on Arundel Gate near the Novotel Hotel when she was hit by a Dodge van heading towards Moorfoot. Witnesses to the accident, at 9.10pm last night (September 18th), should contact the police accident witness helpline on 0114 220 2970.
