'What is your most valuable possession?'
Someone asked me this not long ago and I'm still thinking. I automatically thought I would be able to name something straight away, but I was stumped!
I don't really know if I have anything that significant to me, which is quite an upsetting prospect, so I thought of memories but that just seems so tacky. I'm still thinking.........
So far I would have to say photographs, which I know are just a picture of memories, but thats all I can think of so far.

I think photos would be the answer for me too.
I have a photograph of my mum and dad together on a family holiday beside a river. We had travelled to numerous places in scotland over a three week break and years later when looking at the photographs again we could not remember where the photo had been taken.
It was the last family holiday I went on and as my Dad was usually the photographer, there are not too many photos around with him in them.
My Dad died a number of years ago and so the photo is very precious to me.
A few weeks ago, I was on holiday with my husband and paid a visit to Berwick on Tweed. We were strolling along the riverside when suddenly I saw the exact bench where the photo of my mum and dad had been taken 11 years before. It wasn't scotland at all, it must have been taken on the journey home!
Sorry for going off topic, but thats what happens when you start recalling memories and photos are the most valuable thing for me to recreate and remember them.

I'd have trouble too.
There's an excercise carrie dout in some personal / spiritual development groups where people are asked to pick 7 pebbles up and secretly identify each pebble with a possession or something important in their lives.
They are then led through a maze and asked, at various strategic points, to give up one of the pebbles. At teh end what you have left is what's most important to you - at least in principle. Interestingly enough there are always those who cheat.... :)
I'd just be very wary about anyone who's prize possession is soemthing you could replace with a large enough credit card.... :)

My free agency. Without choice we are nothing.
For me I'd also say photo's, I have thousands of them. Also my memories (such as they are), remembering things that have happened in the past then smiling or letting out a small chuckle (which leads people to believe you are :loopy: )
:)
I would say friends and family but I don't actually "posses" them, and it's a cheesy answer, so a real physical thing would have to be my walkman, life would be unbearable without music.
i would have to say my boyf and my unborn child and family and friends and fo course GOD.

I didn't mean people, that's why I didn't put any. I dont count them as possessions.
I think I have just remembered my valuable possession! At my ma's house I should have a box and inside that box are personal letters from friends, family, partners, ripped out pages from some of my old school books (you know when you used to write messages on the back page :D ) and all sorts of things.
I also have this huge Elvis poster at my ma's too. I had it for years and everyone who used to come in my bedroom used to sign it and write notes. Its covered in dates and events. Its very special to me.
My parents have not long since moved house and I've been going on about these things, asking if they were packed and that they havent thrown them away. It reminds me that I shall try to find them tomorrow when I go and wait for the central heating guy to come round. Far from the point, but nevermind

My Judo black belt.
After I won one, some students at my old club got me ine that is embroided nicely as a present when I left, so not only does it remind me of the huge efforts and trouble I had getting the right to wear one but also reminds me of some close freinds I left behine when I moved to sheffield.
