I'm thinking of joining a Gym, and Esporta is one of my options.

What is it like? I know it's quite expensive, I was impressed with the facilities a few days ago but thought I would ask if anyone has any opinions on the club?

Do you want to pay £50-60 a month and joining fee on top? Facilities are nice - yes - but is it worth it?

Go down the road a mile and Abbeydale Sports Club has a gym for £28 a month. Not flash, no pool but friendly service and laid back atmosphere. Plus your money will go towards the club (more activities for kids etc).

Or go to Fitness Unlimited at Ponds Forge. Get everything there for around £25 a month.

Esporta will tie you to a 12 month contract. Abbeydale there's no contract I believe (month by month) and at Fitness Unlimited it is a 3 month contract to begin with after that you can cancel at any time.

My GF has joined Esporta. She works in L**ds so it's handy for her to be able to use either. She's very much of the opinion that the extra cost is well justified for such nice facilities.

Esporta is lovely
yes it's pricey but hey use it a couple of times a week and it's justified.
apparentley kids under 8(maybe 10) are free on your membership so if you've got kids and take them swimming 1 or 2 times a week it works out the same as ponds forge!!!!
