(rounded to the nearest £1) overclockers.co.uk - £497 (P5E board) scan.co.uk - £437 (Maximus Formula board) aria.co.uk - £399 (Maximus Formula board) for EXACTLY the same components, now to see if I can find cheaper still ;) seanpint 13-02-2008, 22:09 this is another i have found but never used. http://www.advancetec.co.uk/ prices look very good mind! GrinderBloke 13-02-2008, 22:11 Ghozer post a list and lets see what we can do :-) You are correct OCers expensive but often bargains can be had, but no free shipping. Ghozer 13-02-2008, 22:32 Ok ;) Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (Wolfdale) (3.0ghz) 4GB Corsair Dominator (1066mhz) (4x1gb, 5-5-5-15, 2.2-2.5volt) (DDR2) Asus Intel X38 Chipset (have been looking at the P5E, and the Maximus Extreme and Maximus Formula SE (and Gamer edition) ** EDIT ** advancetec.co.uk = £438 (P5E board) GrinderBloke 13-02-2008, 22:50 £437 from Scan.co.uk, cannot find anyone else who has all items in stock. Maximus boards push the cost right up. Eric_Collins 14-02-2008, 07:22 http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Novatech-Ltd_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm Go here, it's www.novatech.com 's clearance site on eBay. You can get things like full motherboard bundles with warranty for as little as £30 . I bought a WD my world book for £45, shop price was £123.79. I also bought a t-Shirt with a video screen built in and i paid £2 for that and it shop price was £40. stuff like DVDRW new and branded £10,Thermaltake watercooled pc case £70,500gb hard drives £30 .... list is endless and you need to look about 3pm as the stock changes daily. mrmist 14-02-2008, 08:19 Overclockers can be expensive but when they have special offers on they are competative and I've always had fast service and no issues. Also try simply (now misco.co.uk). Smilevic 15-02-2008, 19:24 www.dcs-online.biz local....ish in doncaster and can buy over counter, suppose i am lucky cos i can walk to this shop in 5 mins. but worth a look l14mgs 15-02-2008, 20:23 Alright thanks guys this is very helpful but i now dont think im gonna get all the parts from one place i will get it from different places and i like the ebay shop some good stuff in there and as iv been looking does anybody know why DDR3 ram is so expensive compared to such as DDR2 mrmist 15-02-2008, 20:29 does anybody know why DDR3 ram is so expensive compared to such as DDR2 'cos it's newer technology so harder to make / less of it. |
