Why? What's better?

Paying for things? (except tv programs - but they're free anyway!)

Um, you do know that torrents are mostly used for ILLEGAL downloading right? Which is against the rules on here, so expect this thread to get pulled when the powers that be see it! :D

And no, I am not going to report it.

Have they still got poor retention rates?
I use Usenet-News 300gig for $66.00

I use usenetserver.com, cant complain it works out around £7 a month, unlimted and really good retention.

And as previously mentioned no-one has even hinted at downloading anything illegal so I very much doubt this thread will get closed!!

The problem with rapidshare.com is you have to split files to 100 meg. Rapidshare.de used to let you have files upto 300 meg.

So what?

Use something like Rapget to download and HJ split / winrar afterwards.

Miles better than torrents and cheaper than newsgroups.

Oh there he goes again...

The server needs a cron job that just looks through the database for posts by Rich mentioning torrents & deletes them.

I mainly use mininova for my torrent tracking. Can anyone tell me what the advantages are with other sites which require registration, I think I'm missing something....?

a lot with registration sites dont get too many fakes or password files

bt junkie is terrible for fakes and files that require dom players etc
but theres that many sites out there its wich suits the individual

Most torrent sites are honeypots now, only an idiot would use them imho.
