On saturday morning I saw a young (16ish) girl being knocked down by a car after coming out of Millhouses post office. She was tossed up in the air and came down on her head.
Does anyone know how she is?

Have you contacted the police? Won't you be required as a witness?
I hope she survived.
I hope it didn't shake you up too much
There were many witnesses - people in the queue of traffic, pedestrians, people around the shops etc. I saw the incident in my rear-view mirror, so probably wouldn't be the best witness.
It did shock me a bit, but that's nothing compared to the effect on the people involved. I would really like to know how the girl's doing.

Ring the police and ask if they'll need you (like you say, probably won't) and ask then. they won't tell you much I doubt, but probably could get it out of them whether she was killed or not?
i have been in touch with the police and asked them they said they have no information about this incident on their database.
Thanks - I might call into the post office then

Keep your eye on this page. Nothing for the 26th yet, but they'll probably update it today at some point. If they want witnesses, they'll have a number there for you to call. it's worth making a statement, very painless, the cops will come to your work if need be and it won't take long. And you could be saving someone maybe going to jail...

If there is a police witness sign up next to the side of the road it means the person is dead. I saw a horrible accident once, really tragic, it still upsets me and it was five years ago, speak to someone if it has affected you in any way x
the police witness sign doesnt always mean the person died
last year two motorcyclists were seriously injured the sign is still up chained to a lamp post
