According to one or two people I have asked ( not mechanics ) my car may have a problem with the wheel bearings. I have a Renault Laguna ( 1991 ) . Can anyone tell me how much I will be expected to fork out before I go to a garage.
Thanks
Phone 3 garages and ask for quotes.
They may give you one, but also warn that getting the old bearings out may present a problem so may cost extra. They won't know till they've tried. Beware of this scam!
depends on the car. If it's that old you might consider finding a friendly mechanic and having a go yourself, I did the bearing on a Nova with my dad's help. However the bearing for my Cougar will cost around £100 and needs hyddraulic pressure (so can't be done outside a garage).

Rear of Front Wheel Bearing? I know from experience on a Maestro that rears take about 10-20mins. Fronts normally need to be pressed out, so takes infinitely longer. Not sure if this is the same on all cars?
