My dog has suddenly started with really bad diorrea and an upset stomach this morning. Whats the best way to help him get better, not give him any food today?

Starve him for today and see how he goes. If you have no more runny pooh try him on something light later on tomorrow like white fish and rice but only a small amount. Encourage him to drink water you don't want him dehydrating dogs can go without food for a while he just has to drink.

We have just had this with Albert and i think there is something going about he ended up being starved for 3 days with steroid injections and AB's but he was very poorly and had a temperature to. If he doesn't seem right tomorrow though get him to the vets dogd get poorly veyr quickly when they are not drinking and have a bad tummy.

you could give him some arrowroot biscuits they did the trick when mine had this.

When I was at the vets a couple of weeks ago, a couple of emergencies came in with some sort of gastro flu, and the girls on reception said they had had loads of clients with the same thing over the previous week, like some bug was going around.
I guess your pooch just might have picked something similar up on his walks?

The vets was up High Green, but I know of many people who (like me) who use that one, but don't live in the area, so it may be possible to have spread
