Whats the best way to help him get better, not give him any food today? Adz 12-02-2008, 15:35 Starve him for today and see how he goes. If you have no more runny pooh try him on something light later on tomorrow like white fish and rice but only a small amount. Encourage him to drink water you don't want him dehydrating dogs can go without food for a while he just has to drink. We have just had this with Albert and i think there is something going about he ended up being starved for 3 days with steroid injections and AB's but he was very poorly and had a temperature to. If he doesn't seem right tomorrow though get him to the vets dogd get poorly veyr quickly when they are not drinking and have a bad tummy. pets@home 12-02-2008, 16:58 My dog has suddenly started with really bad diorrea and an upset stomach this morning.
