Hi, i am a new member and i am a big animal lover, I have an aquarium and a Eastern Garter snake, i just got rid of my Western Ribbon.
I was wondering whether anyone knows which tankmates are suitable as i am looking to buy an angelfish,

Hi, I'm presuming you mean freshwater angels?
If so, they can be fairly community minded fish, however not all tank mates are suitable.
Generally it is considered best to steer clear of any fish with flowing fons, and anything small enough to fit into the angels' mouths.
Also, don't forget they get pretty big and ideally you want a tank of not less than 18" deep (top to bottom) for when they are fully grown, and ideally 4 feet long - they can be terratorial when adult.
Also, they can become agressive if and when they pair off, but it's best to buy several (6 if you have the space) and then get rid of some when they have formed groups.
I would recommend getting at least 3 to begin with, though if you end up with a pair you may have to move the third one.
