Looking at fishing the Rother soon - lures for perch/ pike, and general coarse fishing.

Anyone got any knowledge of what the best methods are - good pegs etc?

Apparently down on the catliffe stretch there 15lb Barbel, now thats a fish !!

Yes, thats why I tried it before the rier season ended. Did a bit of lure fishing, -5 it was, lasted about an hour and a half. Will definitely be back in the new season - make a change from fishing lakes/ carp puddles.

where on the catcliffe strech are these 15lb barbel i love my barbel fishing save fuel from traveling to the trent every week if theres fish like that around here
