Does anyone know of a good value Photographer for my wedding this year? I don't have alot of money to spend as most of it's going on the venue and food etc.

Also anyone know which White limo company is the best in Sheff.

Not got any mates who have a good digital camera to do it ?

Worked at my mates wedding. Over 800 pictures and they just chose the best ones and had them printed out, framed and put in albums etc :)

(they mainly do photos but they do cars n cakes too, ive gotten a special price coz im going with them for all 3. now im not promising nething as i havent actually had my wedding yet, lol, but as we r on a tight budget they seemed to do the best all round packages for a decent price.)

If you phone 0114 2540241 and ask for a brochure/price list they'll mail you one and you can see what they do for ur self.

We've booked a rolls royce silver shadow, a 3 tier 6/8/10 cake and we are getting 60 countess 8x6 photos in a silver taped leafed photo album, all for £750

that might seem alot? but i rung round alot of places and these seemed to be the most reasonable in sheffield.

photos start @ £375 (the ones we've chosen) and go up from there depending what package you want.

We arranged for the guy to come to our house with samples of the photos they do and we were quite impresed and so went with them.

Obviously i cant say what the finished product will be like coz i aint had my weddin but if u get a brochure and get him out to show you what he's got you can make up your own mind.

o god, you are so lucky,wish i had time to wander aound sheff ,looking for trees growing out of chimney pots, WHAT WERE YOU ON LAST NIGHT,give all us forumers a clue lol,the only plants i have growing out of chimney pots are the ones i have planted, i think you need to see a garden expert mate.

we got married 2 years ago. the cost of pics is shocking. they all include a phot labum and sets of pics into the package. £750 is a good price.

we were very lucky and got some commercial photographers to do ours. £375. no album, good pics and a CD with all the pics on.

infortunately, they are no longer in the business (he is a teacher now). i will root out his number if I can find ( no promises).

Mu advice, is to ask in art, picture, speciality photographers shops, for names of freelance photographers.

Just to let you know, I used Celebrations and the results were awful. I specified a couple of photos that I wanted doing - ie: one of just me, my mum and my sister and he never took it, also he said that he takes two shots of every pose, and he didn't so I have 3 photos that are no good as someone is shutting their eyes! When we FINALLY got the photos (I had to ring and pester for them) I was GUTTED. I told him I was and he denied that he had ever said half of what he was going to do. I'm not shallow enough to dwell on this as it is a couple of years ago now but take note and if need be, make a list of the poses that you want and what your requirements are because on your big day it will be the last thing that you are thinking about. (ALSO... He made us pay cash for the photos, if we had paid by cheque we would have held something back for them being CRAP)

I am always really suspicious of anybody who claims to offer proffesional services, but doesn't take credit cards.

Mr Strix and I had a row over paying for some items for our wedding on cards. He thought we should pay by cheque as we had the money, and I maintained everything should pass through the credit card account. *blank look from him* Your credit card company is an added insurance against rip off suppliers :thumbsup:

5th avenue limosines are good and they have great cars

We are using Picture Box photographers in Chapeltown. The photographer is Tony Holmes and is assisted by his wife Jackie. The samples we saw were really good and the price (compared to others we saw) was mid range. They basically had three packages for weddings so something for most budgets.

Amanda - you'll have some lovely pix. We used Picture Box four years ago and Tony and Jackie were absolutely brilliant. Very inobtrusive and every photo came out a good'un - not a shut eye anywhere. They're not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for in this case.

Having said that, am now divorced and I didn't get to keep any of the pictures! :(

We used ASG photography on Middlewood road who were very good. The number is 0114 234 8180. Our package was about £375, but they did cheaper packages for around £175.

There were 3 photographers at our wedding, 2 were taking the same shot, and the other 1 was taking candid ones (i didnt realise these would be so good when people didnt know their photos were being taken).
