As some of you may know, we havent had much luck recently with our dogs. Well on Saturday, we collected Philly a 10 week old x staffie bitch from the kennels at Spring street.

Obviously we are head over heals in love with her:love: and we're hoping that this time we will have some luck with our choice of dog!

Fantastic piccie

I hope if nothing else, by us coming on the forum - if we can manage to make the people of sheffield aware just how many lovely normal dogs there are that are being abandoned around sheffield every day - and needing a home, we can manage to pair you all up with one of these dogs in the kennels.

I so pleased for all of you

Yay you got one of the poopies from the pound, i never quite got time to have cuddles with the 8 that were in and now they are gone which is good news for them.

congratulations x

It's great to see the word is spreading that dogs are available direct from the pound - means they're in kennels for less time, and less stressed, and there's more funds available to look after those who are in the system longer!

I agree strix it would be nice to know how many people have homed from the pound due to the inceased publicity, i imagine it's a few people already. Am so pleased though that people are giving staffs a chance.

She is a little stunner, isnt she?:D

Of course, before we picked her up, we were full of rules - she wouldnt be allowed on the sofa etc. but as soon as you look into those eyes...

So she's spent most of the weekend on the sofa:(;)

Get yourself a floor cushion and reinstate those rules!

I know, I know :)

we fell for that too when Ailsa was a pup - now there's no getting off the furniture! (Well, there is, but I'm just too soft n usually end up sitting on the floor)

My dogs all go on the sofa but its not a problem at all (unless you mind being hairy :D ) they are taught that if people want to sit there they have to get down, and there is never any arguments they do just that.
But you do have to teach them that its a perk and not a right to sit there.
