How come a bit of snow and the first thing to close is schools? Shops don't close, businesses don't close, people get to work - how come teachers can't set a good example?

We don't get snow like we did years ago - the schools didn't close then - I recall walking to school in drifting snow which came over the top of my wellies.

think this one has already been done in general chat - I take your point but it seems to be 'health and Safety' issues!

Kids get giddy with snow and can hurt others, fall down or damage property!!
