Hi

I got this envelope thing in a catalogue that was delivered today and when I opened it said congratulations you have won a fab free gift from this list, call this number (£1.50 per min) to find out what you have been awarded, I'm sure some of you have the general idea.

Anyways out of boredom and curiosity I called it and it appears that I have won a Bahamas cruise for 7 nights for 2 people, but what I want to know is has anyone here ever won a holiday via these premium rate number competitions and if so how was it?

I just want to make sure that this isnt some farce, I mean I know I took a risk phoning it up in the first place but I was curious, now I just want to know if there is a catch as obviously I'm not totally convinced that its 100% genuine.

Your feedback will be appreciated

I really don't believe in something for nothing when it comes to unsollicited mail.

It smacks of timeshare to me, (do they have them in the bahamas? Possibly not!). Either that or you'll have to fork out some cash to get your prize.

I really hope you have won, I just doubt it.

Let us know when they next contact you! :thumbsup:

Not timeshare. But I am sure that you have to find you own way there (flights), probably have to pay a fee of some kind, stay in a hotel, at either end of the cruise, of their choice.

Whatever it is, you have spent somewhere around £10 on a phone call (of which they've got at least £6).{although now I think, there may be some limits to these calls, but the point is still the same.}

Don't call them!

The call cost £6.25 altogether, but not too bad if that means I've actually won a holiday for 2, but like I said I am not totally 100% convinced yet until I see it in my hands confirming everything.

The holiday according to the terms and conditions includes return flights and accomodation but I will have to pay a £39 processing fee there may be restrictions on what dates I can choose i.e. bank holidays and christmas etc.

Anyways I have to send the slip off and I will get my prize in 28 days and I will keep you posted as to the authenticity of it all and if there are any catches involved.

I've said many times. If you haven't entered anything then you haven't won anything. I've disabled those premium numbers on my phone.
