Can anyone tell me if they have broadband coverage in the City Centre?
I live in West Point but have just been told by BT that i can't get a service. I think that it is a problem to do with BT not having the full info on my new line yet (activated on Tues). Anyway, they have told me to ringup again and check on Monday to see if they have any new data.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it possible to get broadband in West Point?
there is a button pushing thing on F9s website to investigate this
http://www.f9.net.uk/support/general/articles/extended_reach.shtml
at the bottom of the page there's a 'check availability' button
thanks for the suggestion, heres what i got:-
"Sorry, no availability information was available for your telephone number. This could be because it is a new telephone line, or because it is not a BT line.
If you have a BT line, you can still register for Broadband today. Your line will be checked as part of the activation process. Click on Products from the website homepage to select a Broadband account"
Case is still open!
:(
I can just see them installing an obsolete line in a city centre
Given the amount of offices etc in the area, and the fact that your's is a new building, it's unlikely you have a duff connection.
If you lived in a newbuild on the outskirts of a small village in the middle of nowhere that didn't have broadband..... but you don't, so I'd say 'go for it' and let them get on with activating it. They'll know then!!
thanks for the advice. slightly annoyed with BT as they wasnt very helpfull over the phone and i got passed from department to department. hopefully i should get some good news on monday

I lived just up the road at Royal Plaza and could get broadband. I would be 100% sure you would be able to get it.

Go ahead and order it, if it fails the line test (which I think is unlikely), you wont have to pay for it.
Thanks for the help everyone.
I have now been allowed to order broadband as it was a delay on getting the line info that held things up, as i suspected!
The customer service on the BT 'hotline' was rubbish! No specialist knowledge at all, just seemed to have a set answer for set questions.
Never mind, got it sorted in the end.
