View Full Version : Starting my own business in Sheffield, where to start? Property questions etc.. Sony 08-02-2008, 07:12 hi I am wanting to start my own cafe business and would like some help RE commercial properties in Sheffield. Who are the main agents for this? Where do I look for properties? It really seems hard to find any info regarding this! There are a few agents in sheffield who specialise in commercial property. Try SMC, lane walker or knight frank all on campo lane in town and have websites. Hope that helps. Often they're on with agents that aren't Sheffield based (ours was in sunny Donny) shopproperty.co.uk is pretty good too - you can search for existing places to let and also receive a weekly email with any new ones that come on. That's just properties available to lease though - I presume that's what you're looking for? theripsaw 08-02-2008, 15:05 You'll need premises with A3 use consent or the possibility of getting it (this process will cost 2/3 hundred quid and a lengthy wait for a decision with no guarantee of success). You may get away with A1 consent if you open an internet cafe. Le Baron 09-02-2008, 15:08 Theres a cafe up for grabs at Firth Park called Coffee and Cream it would have a lot of potential in the right hands, and was popular with the locals before closing down. I think the agent for it is Simon McDonald, worth a call, check out rent and rates.
