This jerked a distant memory for me when I must have been younger than 5 - I am not certain - where was St Swithuns?

Was it st swithuns hall based on baseldene rd (manor)?

yes that is right it had a big refurbishment back inthe early 90s .its not there now as vandals broke in and set fire to the inside 'they had to pull it down as it was unsafe

I don't remember any crowning of the May Queens at St Swithuns but I do remember being in a play there called, 'Pandora's Box'. I was on stage during the second half and during the interval, my dad told me to say my line loudly so people at the back could hear. I was only around 5 or 6 years old so all I had to say was, "Come, let's share". I'd just lost my two front teeth so I couldn't pronounce "sh" properly. When I proudly went on stage, I shouted as loud as I could, "Come, let's SARE". Everybody heard me and everybody fell about laughing. I was soooo embarrassed.:blush::blush:
