View Full Version : Another Un-exploded Bomb
Near Magna (Sheffield/Rotherham), police and bomb squad in attendance.... amazing how many of these pop up after such a long time.
bit of a pain in the arse as well with roads being shut down!
How many have there been? I've been away for a few months so still not really up to date on what's happened in Sheffield. Just before I went away there was what was thought to be a bomb on the building site down by the police station, but it wasn't, it was just a piece of steel.
simondjuk 07-02-2008, 14:16 Yeah, at least they find them before they explode.
Jason Bourne 07-02-2008, 14:16 It's at magna is it?
thanks, I wondered where i left it
think there was one on the parkway a couple of months ago as well.
Adrianovic 07-02-2008, 14:34 Anyone know what road this is on?
I'll start running in the opposite direction.
think it's called sheffield road?? the main road from tinsley roundabout to rotherham....not sure what situation is now..i'll find out when i try to get home at 5...grrrr
*drama over.....road has re-opened with no explosion*

The travel updates website merely reported an "accident." Where did you info about the bomb come from?
I'll keep an eye out on Look North tonight .. after discussing a couple of missing pet gerbils in Leeds, they might mention it.
slimsid2000 07-02-2008, 15:30 Sad to think that potentially the last casualty of World War 2 may not have happened yet.
(Getting a bit serious here - I need to lie down)

It was also on the Real Radio traffic update thing.
Joe Totale 07-02-2008, 16:32 Wouldn't surprise me if they come across one when they start doing The Moor up, after all, plenty fell in that area during the last war.:suspect:

Hopefully they'll let that one go off.
It might cause considerable improvement.
