On paper yes but with the squads they have at there disposal then laws is doing better than robson, you can't argue that.

Should take the brollies to the sty and sell them along with some snorkels and flippers, he would do a roaring trade :P

he's doing better than laws? didnt realise laws has spent millions on the squad and already had one of the best squads in the league. i cant see them getting rid of robson yet, seems you're chairman is trying anything to keep him, maybe so he doesnt have to admit he made a mistake

What millions has he spent? he has actually had a surplus in transfers so far. I dont know why this has to be mentioned again and again is simple maths too much for some people.
However i think that Mccabe is kepping Robson on until it is mathematically impossible to go up. Maybe if we miss out on promotion by a whisker then he would keep his job but we are massively underachieving at the moment and that will force MCCabe's hand.

he has spent around 7mill by looks of it, fair enough he has sold alot and got alot of it back but he has still spent alot and not in playoffs at least. i dont see how hes doing better than laws, thats all. with the restrictions laws has got and the start we had, its a miracle we're not in the relegation places. you're probably right about them waiting till its matematically impossible to go up but most blades will say it was a mistake to appoint him

It looks a mistake now and Laws under the circumstances looks to be doing a better job but i think the post you are referring too was a tongue in cheek comment.
I will say one thing though the expectations dont seem to be as high at Hillsbro as they were at the Lane so it could have made it easier for Laws. Robson was expected to get us in to the top six as a minimum but Allen probably told Laws to keep Wednesday in the league and try to push for the play offs if possible. Two slightly different scenarios.

maybe it was a tongue in cheek comment but it wasnt right:D.i agree that what the expectations each manager had where what you said, although it wouldnt surprise me if allen decided he wanted a play off place. whatever expectations the wednesday board gave laws, i cant see it making the job any easier, after all, it must of been in laws mind that wednesday are a sacking club and 6 defeats in a row really must have put severe pressure on him.
