You need an invite though lonesome 24-02-2005, 22:39 You could try this program: http://mrpostman.sourceforge.net/. I use it to access my yahoo and hotmail email (and even gmail) as if I was connecting through pop. It quietly runs in the background and acts as a local pop3 gateway. It has instructions on the website I think how to set it up to run in outlook, I use it in thunderbird. Hope this helps, Grant t020 24-02-2005, 22:54 Yahoo mail gives you free POP3 and SMTP access for you to be able to send and receive emails from an email client, such as Outlook. Click "Mail Options" once you are logged in, then click "POP Access and Forwarding". Follow the instructions on screen. Once that's done, and it should tell you this anyway, but, in Outlook: Incoming POP3 server = pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk Outgoing SMTP server = smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk (Ensure that the "My Server requires authentication" box is ticked in your account properties in Outlook or POP3 access will be denied). Account name = your Yahoo ID (not full email address) Password = self explanatory. That's pretty much it. Bikertec 25-02-2005, 00:10 Cheers Mate I will try that.   |
