I found that he has his greatest hits out since 21st Feb, with all the classics (!) including Amarillo.

After looking at Amazon & Play etc online, I found that Tesco's from Jersey is cheapest & Tax free at £8.99 in P&P!!

It's got to be an EP then - don't think he had enough hits to fill an album.

No, it's got 21 tracks.

I think he has been thrust into fame again since Pheonix Nights. Has a 30 date UK tour just started and plans, with a little luck to do a big band doo in the City Hall here once it's finished!

Yeah, that's the one - saw an ad for it on prime-time TV last night believe it or not!

£1 more expensive from amazon.co.uk here:

(but you'd probably get it quicker if in a hurry for it!)

I booked for my late wife and myself to see Tony Christie at the Fiesta when it was in its heyday.
I booked a table which was quite a way back from the stage but with a good view. When we arrived on the night there was someone sitting in our seats. We called the usherette over and she saw the manager.
The manager came down to us and said that he was sorry but they had unfortunately double booked on that seat.
He led us down to the front row (directly at the front of the stage).
It was a first class night and Tony sang a good show.

I actually used to deliver to Tony's house at Meersbrook when I was a postman. That was in the early seventies.
I never saw him though. The house always seemed empty.
Maybe it was a decoy house.
