its discusting isn't it, whoever let them into the stands dressed like that needs sacking, and i personally would find them and throw then in jail for a bit to send a clear message to all the racists in spain this will not be tolerated.

I can't see the Spanish changing much when they have people like Luis Aragones http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/4055395.stm in high positions.

The circuit owners are threatening to sue the individuals responsible (who can't be too hard to track down) should the FIA pull the race. That'd be a fair few quid I'll bet!!

Probably because they didn’t black round there eyes, as for how did they get in, surely it wouldn’t be hard to conceal the shirts and then but the black on there faces once in their seats.

I can remember my mother watching a show full of people blacked up like that, viewing it now on youtube is cringe worthy, funny how things change.

But the stewards should have noticed them and turfed them out.

I would have thought that the Banjos were a dead giveaway.

That assumes that the stewards are anti-racist...

well - right place- right time i guess for the photographer.

still sums up the feelings of the nation for me, england players STILL get abuse when they play there but no-one does anything, the spanish are still living in a very racist country.

can you imagine that in the UK- we would have been thrown out of the next 3 world cups and had the olympics taken away if we were to do such a thing.

That's an interesting observation.

I've always wondered why black sportsman get hassle in other parts of Europe, especially eastern europe, when there experience of black people is very limited or gives them reasons to feel threatened in some way, just goes to show that racists will be always find some reason to justify their beliefs in spite of personal experiences or lack of them.

Hamilton's response incidentally was sensible and very dignified.

Hamilton's response was as if it had been written by the PR dept of a multimillion pound organisation.... ;)
I hope the FIA does impose at least some kind of penalty on the Spaniards - even unofficially. Perhaps they could have grave safety concerns over the new street circuit scheduled as a venue later in the season, and refuse to go there?

How does any one know that these 'racist' clowns were Spanish?
They could be from any where.

Good point. But the issue is that the Spanish venue should not have allowed such an obviously offensive activity.

How are they supposed to know in advance who's going to shout racist slogans, then? Is there a branch of Psychics'R'Us near the track?
