i have been a blades fan for many years, watched games regular home & away, but ive seen the light!!!. . .why pay ridiculous prices to watch overpaid men play with no compassion or heart, get yourselves out to a local non league ground and support the game at grassroots level. . £4 admission £1 programme & 50p for a cuppa. . .what more do ya need? oh yeah they play damn good football give 100% and get up after hard challenges!! . . .total entertainment at its best. . . .get out and support em you dont know what you missing!!. . .ps i can let you know of dinningtons fixtures . .they are top of the league . .what local team can say that!!!!

I know where you are coming from mate, but partly for similar reasons I gave up watching football altogether a few years ago and switched to Rugby League.

I live in Rotherham for my sins. Every week we get the Chairman of RUFC appealing for support in the local paper and asking whether the ungrateful old town deserves a football team.

And here's the catch. It's £20 to pay on th day and go and watch Division 4 football in a delapidated old stadium and you cant even sit together with your mates. And then they have the cheek to wonder why folks dont go.

Non league for me from now on. Football has got so far removed from it's roots that I hope the lower league sides like Dinnington can re-connect people with the game. good luck to them. I will be along to watch them.

thanks lads you all are spot on with ya comments. . .thought it was just me that had seen the light, jebb who would have ever thought it would be that much to watch in essence what is just a few rungs up from grassrooots football, dont clubs realise when players are earning thousands a week we get slated for not spending our hard earned cash on even flashier cars and lifestyles for em.

a few months ago i decided i would stop paying stupid prices to watch my beloved millers and needed to get value for money.so on a cold sat afternoon off i went to dinnington,turned up at the ground,very friendly people,met someone who i worked with and have not seen for 20 years,now a few months on i know a few people there they always say hello ,been asked to go to some away matches with them and always feel like they are glad you are there.
do i miss spending £30-£40 on saturday at millmoor the answer is a big NO,spend £5-£10 at dinno and be entertained and be home in 10 mins think i will stick with dinno
