I went to see him in London once (he canceled the other i had tixs for), Doncaster and just got back from edinburgh. All fantastic! His voice was not good in London obviously why he canceled a few nights but he was back on form by Doncaster. :)

And JR saying "i nearly slipped in" after Morrissey did not shake his cheeseburger hand. But on the radio JR said they get on but at edinburgh last night Moz said "were you disgusted by the Jonathan ross show"

I did enjoy it, the man has a very good voice, but I couldnt help but feel he was simply 'going through the motions'. My OH, who's seen him before in the US also seemed a little underwhelmed, so much so that on our way out, she told me that she didnt think she would see him live again.
