View Full Version : Know of any photos for sale of the peak district?
A colleague is taking early retirement and the general consensus is that a photo (or several) of the peak district would be a good leaving present.
Does anybody know of any professional or semi-professional photographers in the sheffield area who might be able to provide said photos for around the £170 mark?
We haven't any specific desires of which particular bit of the peak district - ideas such as Winnat's Pass and Paddley Gorge have been thrown around but we are open to suggestions.
Many thanks.
Kristian 24-02-2005, 01:10 Have you tried picturesheffield.com ? Their prints are very reasonable priced, and you could get something else too then!

jackthedog 24-02-2005, 07:56 Give forum member Daevh a PM - he sells a few snaps of the Peaks.
He has a site - http://www.daevh.co.uk/photography/
Think he'll do prints to size etc.
Give him a shout, and tell him I sent ya... :)
There's a photographer goes by the name of Steve Tivey who sells stunning photo's of the area. He usually has a stall at craft fairs in the area but I also believe there is a exhibition at Foothills shop on Edgedale Rd 0114 258 6228. Prices are very reasonable at about £40 per picture (framed).
Well worth investigating (no connection by the way).
I have some photos taken over the last couple of days at Higgor Tor, Winnats pass and the Hope Valley.
You can find them here:

I know a very good photographer who has some good peak district photos, I will have a word with him and tell him to have a look at this thread.
Thanks very much for the responses, those who responded. I'll be chasing up a few of the suggested sources next week.
Just so as to broaden the choice yet further; does anybody know of any artists that could provide paintings of the peak district?
Many thanks once again.
