It is with the greatest of pleasure that I announce the engagement of SupraSteve and Kate_Sheff.

At SupraSteve's 30th. birthday party (held in Malvern, Worcestershire) last night, he got down on bended knee, produced a ring, and proposed to Kate_Sheff. I couldn't hear what Kate_Sheff's response was, but as she cried with tears of happiness and wouldn't take the ring off - I believe she said 'yes' folks!

I wish them every happiness in their lives together.

Kate wasn't expecting it, I'd carefully & craftily engineered the impression in her that I thought engagements/weddings and the like would be years off at best, and only if she were lucky. ;) The truth is I'm extremely lucky to have her and I've been thinking about proposing for ages - and figured in front of a good selection of those that mean the most to me would be quite romantic (and show I meant it - I'm not sure any words would have done justice to my thoughts for her). :gag: I know, but hopefully that's so far up the scale I don't need to be romantic again for a good few months ;)

And just to add... I didn't have a clue either! I thought Steve was just going to say a few words of thanks to the many folk who'd gathered together to celebrate his 30th birthday - some of whom had travelled long distances to be in Malvern on Sat night for his birthday party.

Needless to say.... I'm estastic at the news!
