A mate of mine was resizing my screen as id made it all 2 big but in the process hes done something to the colour of all my pics
they look fuzzy and colours look as they have run into each other
a bit a shadowery with lots of bright colours jumping out at ya
they look a bit mirrored and sum look like its a negative from a normal print
and also my mouse pointer arrow is light green instead of black

can any 1 throw any light on this please
cheers

What colour quality is it set to?

Go to control panel, double click display, and click the Settings tab. Make sure it's at least 16bit, preferably 32bit.

sounds like you need to set your desktop theme back to 'windows standard (or Xp)'...try right clicking desktop..select properties...themes and set back to standard..see if that helps

Sounds like an issue with your graphics adaptor to me. What screen resolution do you currently have it set on? (this is shown next to the colour quality option discussed earlier). Try reducing the screen resolution and see if it then allows you to increase the colour quality. If yes, your graphics card is probably unable to handly high quality colour at high resolutions. If no, there's probably a problem with your graphics card and it may need reinstalling.

By the way, to get to device manager, right click My Computer, click Properties, and click the Hardware tab (for Win XP). Click te Device Manager button and scroll down your list of devices - under Display Adaptors, check that there's no error symbol next to your graphics adapator's name.
