hi all ive recently bought a tft monitor however the monitor turns on but doesnt connect to the pc properly does anyone know what this could be??? and how much it would cost to fix? could anyone with advice please PM me thanks

Has your machine got onboard graphics as well as a pci card?If so have you plugged it into the wrong one?
Have a look to see if there is two idential sockets,one horizontal one vertical.
If it has just plug it into the other one

shine a torch at the screen while its on
if you can see the screen its the back light/ invertor
