my pc is soooo slow and huge so my other half has offered to buy me a laptop. but i've been looking around a few websites and realised i have no idea about computers!

so what spec should i be looking for? basically all i use pc for is to look at the internet, play card games. i'd like to be able to store photos from digital camera but i'm no photographer so it'd be 200-300 at most i'd guess. maybe write a letter once in a while. nothing too difficult lol but i want it to be fairly fast, are the most basic still good enough?

and any reccomendations as to where i should go to buy one from. i'm hoping around £300 if thats possible, and probably one i could take home with me tomorrow.

so after all that, anyone want to give me an idea?? x

You might be better off ordering online from somewhere like ebuyer.com - they have a WIDE variety and are much cheaper than in the shops.. even (aaahhhh ;() Currys and PCWorld online is cheaper (some times £100 cheaper) than buying directly in store

but for your needs, almost any laptop around the £300 mark would do you...

Going from slightly under 300, to slightly over (about £20 each way)

1) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136619
2) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/133383
3) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136220
4) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132669
5) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136539

and out of those, my choice would be number 2 or 5, although all will do what you need.

(this is just as an example, where you buy from, and which you buy is in the end, up to you)
