Does anyone know of a good acupuncturist or homeopathist? I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and am fed up of just taking loads of painkillers and thought I would try a new type of therapy and my doctor recommends the above ones. I don't know anyone who practises though. Any suggestions?

Try Alton and James Medical Herbalists at Sharrowvale Road, Hunters Bar. If you phone them I think you can ask for a free brief 10min consultation to see if they can help you for your initial visit. Worth a go. I see Robin James and she is really good and will be honest with you.

There's also Wellforce on Wilkinson Street, if you're a member of Westfield then they will pay towards any treatments done there, if you're not a member then their prices are the same as most other places i've looked at. I've just undergone a course of acupuncture there with Michelle Grundy Wakelin. They were very good, and you can get a number of other treatments there including homeopathy.

Details of treatments/prices etc can be found at http://www.wellforce.co.uk/

My Dad goes to a good Chinese Doctor in the Hillsborough Precinct.

I'll get the number off him when he comes in from work in a bit.
