hiya all
need a spot of advice on how to deal with a long ago ex who still emails me/phones and then there is no-one there (im assuming its him anyway). I moved house so he doesnt have my personal details but i dont want him emailing me at work or phoning. Ive tried being nice but firm but it doesnt seem to stop! any ideas welcome!
Only way is to be blunt with him and offer a quick threat like the cops or something. Thats if you REALLY want to get rid of him. Just say somethin like
"look [name] ive tried being nice about this but you wont listen. Im sorry but ive moved on from you completely and would rather you didnt contact me anymore."

Contact your phone provider first and inform them, they can block the number and do other things..

Also create an e-mail wizard that automatically sends e-mails from his address to the bin. Plenty of people on here can help with that if you get stuck.

won't your employer change your extension number in these circumstances? After all they can't want you to be wasting their time answering personal calls constantly ..
If this person isn't a total headcase, you could try sending a solicitors letter?
Get your employer to change your extension number.
Get your company IT people to filter your incoming mail - if it's MS-Exchange then a server side rule is easy to implement to bin any mail coming from him.
Have a quick chat with a solicitor and get a letter drafted up.
